Hemmroids Treatment...

Symptoms of hemmroids

There are many sorts of hemmroids treatments ranging from natural home remedies to medicinal products. Some treatments have worked for me and some have not. Some treatments work for other people but not me. There are as many different variations of treatments as there are in types of people.

I'm going to list the home treatments I know about and a commercial product that I found called Venapro. Please note that this isn't a medical site. just one woman's journey for finding some comfort. So always consult a medical doctor before trying anything new:

The important thing is to keep the hemmroids from getting worse. Try these suggestions:

Use a moist towellette or toilet paper and blot the anus after a bowel movement. I've found that baby wipes come in very handy. There are also medicated wipes with stuff like witch hazel that help to keep the area clean and cool.Preparation H also makes these wipes. You can usually find these wipes near the hemorrhoid creams.

Avoid rubbing the affected hemmroids area.

Don't use perfumed soaps or soaps with dyes. They will irritate your skin.

Keep the hemmroids area dry. You may laugh but I blow dry my nether regions with a hair dryer after a shower so that I don't need to rub with a cloth or paper. Drying the area helps keep my hemorrhoids in check because they aren't constantly irritated by the moisture and rubbing.

Lying in bed can help relieve the pressure of inflamed veins. If you're 3-6 months pregnant, you may want to lie on your left side. If you're not pregnant, lying on your stomach with a pillow under your hips will help the hemmroids decrease in swelling.

Try not to sit for long periods of time. Sitting puts pressure on the hemmroids area.

Don't sit on a donut pillow like some people recommend. This will actually restrict blood flow to the hemorrhoids region and make things worse.

Use loose, cotton underwear. This will prevent moisture buildup and lets you move freely without increased irritation.

Non-Prescription Hemorrhoids Medication:

If your hemorrhoids are not too serious (see my section on when to see a doctor), then an over-the-counter medication may be the answer to help relieve some of the discomfort of hemroids. In my search for hemmroids relief, I came across a product: Venapro. It's an all-natural, organic treatment that aids in calming inflamed tissues and acts as a natural anesthetic during bowel movements. I have a more extensive review of the product on this page: Venapro.
