My Hemmroids

Types of Hemmroids

There are basically two types of hemmroids one is Internal Hemmroids and second one is External Hemmroids.

Hemmroids can develop inside the anal cavity (internal hemmroids) or outside the anal cavity (external hemmroids). You can develop one kind or both at the same time.

Internal Hemmroids:

There are four different levels of internal hemmroids.

First Degree: The hemmroids remains internal and does not stick out of the anus.

Second Degree: The hemmroids will temporarily stick out of the anus after a bowel movement but will retract internally after a while.

Third Degree: The hemmroids will stick out of the anus but you can push it back in with a finger.

Fourth Degree: The hemmroids is permanently outside of the anus and can't be pushed back in. Streaks of bright red blood on the stool, tissue paper, or in the toilet are often an indication of internal hemmroids symptoms. Internal hemorrhoids can vary from small swollen veins to sagging and bulging veins protruding from the anus.

External Hemmroids

Itching, burning, and irritation are symptoms of external hemmroids. As with internal hemorrhoids you may notice streaks of bright red blood on the toilet paoper after a bowel movement.

If a vein of an external hemorrhoids clots it is called a thrombosis and should be treated immediately.
